Why is Lea Forest so Special?
Ofsted agreed we’re doing things right when they gave us an OUTSTANDING rating back in December 2022. Our Story and Our Badge
When we became Lea Forest in 2012, we wanted our name and badge to reflect our whole school family and local history.
Did you know our area was known as "Leah Forest" way back in Anglo-Saxon times?
By combining the old and the new, we celebrate our community—that's how we became Lea Forest!
Our badge is a symbol of our caring family approach. The four trees represent all the parts that make us up: our Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, and all the supportive adults who act as role models.
We are a family striving to move forward together and provide the best possible education, for every child, every single day.
Our trust is made up of 57 primary, secondary and special schools, educating more than 33,000 pupils across the country – from Middlesbrough in the north to Devon in the west, Essex in the east and the Isle of Wight in the south. The majority of our schools are rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
