Welcome to our school, where we are dedicated to providing an excellent education for every child in every classroom, everyday. We create an inspiring environment filled with opportunities to learn, grow and discover their potential.
Lea Forest is a leading school in Birmingham, graded OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in December 2022. It has an enriched, relevant, engaging and innovative curriculum which enables children to uncover a world of possibilities - inspiring each and every child to reach true academic brilliance.
By embracing the role that Lea Forest plays within the wider community fostering positive partnerships with parents in and beyond the walls of the school - into the streets, into the town and far beyond - ensuring children receive an excellent education, in every classroom, every day. It is our aim that by the time the children leave Lea Forest to embark on the next stage of their education, they are equipped with the academic knowledge and skills, and have developed the personal attributes needed to enable them to become successful citizens of the future. We want our children to be happy and feel safe in school; extending their learning, creating challenges in a broad and balanced, experience-rich curriculum.
Our curriculum is planned and sequenced so that new knowledge and skills build on what has come before. The academic learning is underpinned by a strong emphasis on personal development and social skills so that children make and maintain healthy relationships with others. They learn responsibility and develop a sense of self so that they understand and value their place in the world and respect the same for others.
Spartacus, our school mascot, encourages pupils to achieve and gain the best possible outcomes through hard work, exemplary behaviour and a real love for challenge. Spartacus encourages pupils to become masters in everything they do and reminds them that 'practice makes permanent'. Parents, carers and our children can use our Spartacus Suggestion box to suggest ideas that will help improve our school further.
We have a vibrant and thriving community. Find out about what we provide and what to expect from your time with us. When we opened as Lea Forest in 2012 we wanted our new name and our badge to reflect our community and our whole school family.
We researched the history of the local area and discovered that in Anglo Saxon times the area that our school site was situated on was known as "Leah Forest" In more modern times the area was renamed Lea Village when a new estate was built in the 1930's including the two schools that made up the school buildings today. As a school we felt it was appropriate to revisit our history and establish links with our community, by combining the historical and modern names of our local community in the name of our school's name. Our children also felt that the name reflected our schools environmental outlook and our well established and managed forest area, that is used to support the curriculum and develop children's knowledge and understanding of the wider world. Our badge is designed to reflect our school's caring family approach, we have a mixture of supportive adults who act as role models and teachers for all our children. The four trees symbolise each of the elements of the school from the our Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and our supporting adults. We are a family that strive to move the school and local community forwards by providing an excellent eductaion, for every child, in every classroom, every day.

Our trust is made up of 57 primary, secondary and special schools, educating more than 33,000 pupils across the country – from Middlesbrough in the north to Devon in the west, Essex in the east and the Isle of Wight in the south. The majority of our schools are rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
